College Of Engineering Pune Recruitment 2020 | College of Engineering Pune established in 1854, is a legacy of 165 years. It is an autonomous institute of Government of Maharashtra and is constantly ranked within 50 engineering institutions of the country by various surveys and NIRF ranking. Online applications in prescribed format are invited from dynamic, eligible candidates with passion towards academics and research to work as Full-time Associate Professor / Full-time Assistant Professor and Adjunct Faculty on adhoc basis, for a period of 11 months to engage academic load for 2020-21 in various Engineering, Management and other disciplines.
COEP Recruitment 2020 Vacancy Details for Full Time Associate Professor
Post Name: Full Time Associate Professor

Tenure of Appointment: The tenure will be strictly for 11 months. The selected candidates shall be offered appointment by the BoG of COEP on adhoc basis.

Qualifications for the post of Full Time Associate Professor
Engineering / Technology:
✦ Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First class / 6.75 CGPA on a 10 point scale / equivalent at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level in the relevant branch. AND 
✦ At least total 6 research publications in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals. AND
✦ Minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching / research / industry out of which at least 2 years shall be Post Ph.D. experience.
✦ Candidates with post-doctoral fellowship/Post Ph.D. publications and experience of guiding Ph.D. student are highly desirable. 
✦ The major discipline and the relevant / appropriate disciplines are as notified in the AICTE notification F.No.27/RIFD/Pay/01/2017-18 dated 28th April 2017 and will be made applicable to posts advertised by the institute.  

Management:
✦ Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First class / 6.75 CGPA on a 10 point scale / equivalent at both Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology and MBA / PGDM. Candidates with only Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology are eligible. AND 
✦ At least total 6 research publications in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals. AND

Age Limit: 55 Years
Qualifications for the post of Adjunct Faculty
i) For “Engineering/Technology” programs: In case sufficient PhD. candidates for a discipline are not available or they are not within the prescribed age limit, then candidates with M.E./ M.Tech qualification in relevant discipline with minimum First Class or with CGPA of 6.75 on a 10 point scale, in respective discipline and having minimum 2 years of teaching /industrial /research experience (as on the date of interview) will be considered for interview. Candidates with qualifying GATE score will be given preference.
However, such candidates on selection will be given an appointment as ADJUNCT Faculty for 11 months on adhoc basis. Candidates having ME or M.Tech. qualification will be paid consolidated pay of Rs. 60,000/- per month. Candidates having Ph.D. qualification will be paid consolidated pay of Rs. 70,000/- per month.

ii) For “Planning” Program: In case sufficient PhD. candidates are not available or they are not within the prescribed age limit, then candidates both UG and PG in appropriate discipline with minimum First Class or with CGPA of 6.75 on a 10 point scale in respective discipline and having minimum 2 years of teaching /industrial /research experience (as on the date of interview) will be considered for interview. The GATE qualifying score is not essential for candidates applying for Planning program but it is desirable. Candidates with qualifying GATE score will be given preference.
However, such candidates on selection will be given an appointment as ADJUNCT Faculty for 11 months on adhoc basis. Candidates having M.Plan./ME/M.Tech. qualification in relevant branch will be paid consolidated pay of Rs. 60,000/- per month. Candidates having Ph.D. qualification will be paid consolidated pay of Rs. 70,000/- per month.

iii) For “Management” Programs: Candidates with only Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology are eligible. In case sufficient PhD. candidates for a discipline are not available or they are not within the prescribed age limit, then candidates with MBA/PGDM qualification in relevant discipline with minimum First Class or with CGPA of 6.75 on a 10 point scale, in respective discipline at both bachelors and masters levels and having minimum 2 years of teaching /industrial /research experience (as on the date of interview) will be considered for interview. Candidates with only Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology are eligible. Candidates with qualifying CAT/MCAT score will be given preference.
However, such candidates on selection will be given an appointment as ADJUNCT Faculty for 11 months on adhoc basis. Candidates having MBA/PGDM qualification will be paid consolidated pay of Rs. 60,000/- per month. Candidates having Ph.D. qualification will be paid consolidated pay of Rs. 70,000/- per month. 

iv) For Basic Sciences, Humanities Disciplines if sufficient PhD candidates within the prescribed age limit are not available, then such candidates with graduate and post graduate qualifications in respective disciplines with a minimum First Class or with CGPA of 6.75 on a 10 point scale at both levels and having minimum 2 years of teaching/industrial/research experience can be considered for Adjunct Faculty position, provided they are within 55 years of age and either posses Ph.D degree [in accordance with the University Grants Commission Notification No. F.1-2/2017(EC/PS) dated 18th July, 2018 and UGC guidelines issued from time to time] or are NET/SET qualified. 
However, such candidates on selection will be given an appointment as ADJUNCT Faculty for 11 months on adhoc basis. Candidates having M.Sc./ M.A. with NET/SET qualification will be paid consolidated pay of Rs. 60,000/- per month. Candidates having Ph.D. qualification will be paid consolidated pay of Rs. 70,000/- per month.

College Of Engineering Pune Recruitment 2020 - How to Apply
✦ Candidate must apply in the prescribed ONLINE form displayed on the institute website "www.coep.org.in" under “Recruitment” tab or Click on the below given Apply Link.
✦ A single PDF file with size limit of 40 MB is to be created including the passport size digital photograph of the candidate, scanned certificates/documents related to qualifications, professional experience and achievements. This created file is required to be uploaded online. After submission of the application form, candidate will receive the acknowledgement receipt which will be saved /printed for future correspondence.
✦ The last date for the receipt of the ONLINE application form is 23rd June 2020 till 5:00 p.m.

College Of Engineering Pune Recruitment 2020 - Selection Procedure
✦ Associate Professor: There will be no written test; however candidate will be shortlisted as per criteria of the institute. The shortlisted candidates will make presentation and will be interviewed as stated below [C (i), (ii) and (iii)].
✦ Assistant Professor / Adjunct Faculty:
Written test of 100 Marks will be conducted for short listing of candidates if the number of applications received is too large.
✦ The test paper will be objective type based on GATE/CAT/CMAT syllabus for respective branch / subject.
✦ For all posts (Associate Professor / Full-time Assistant Professor and Adjunct Faculty):
i. Presentation (20 Marks) - Subject knowledge and presentation skills.
ii. Interview (50 Marks) - Personal interview in front of selection committee.
iii. Final Selection - Final selection will be on 100 marks (Qualification and experience 30 marks + presentation 20 marks + interview 50 marks).
