ONGC Recruitment 2021 Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) announced job notification for the post of Field Medical Officer, General Duty Medical Officer & Visiting Specialist officially. MBBS Pass, MS Pass and MD Pass can apply for these job openings. Interested candidates can go through below detailed notification and apply online.
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), a “Maharatna” Public Sector Enterprise, and India’s flagship energy major engaged in Exploration and Production of Oil and Gas in India and abroad, intends to engage Doctors on contract basis on the following posts at its locations in Mumbai, Nhava and Panvel.
The details of posts, qualifications required and the honorarium to be paid are mentioned below. The period of contract shall normally be till 30/06/2022. The job is purely on contract basis and does not carry any liability on the part of ONGC to grant regular appointment at any stage.

ONGC Jobs 2021 Doctors Vacancy Details

(1) Post Name: Field Medical Officers (FMO)
No. of Vacancy: 22 (07-UR, 10-OBC, 02-SC, 03-ST)
Salary: Rs 75000/- per month
Duty Type: Full time -Offshore Duty (14 days on/ off) Posting at Various Offshore Installations.
Qualification & Experience: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.).
Age Limit:
a. The upper age limit for male candidates applying for Field Medical Officer (Offshore) is 60 years of age as on 30/06/2022.
b. The upper age limit for female candidates applying for Field Medical Officer (Offshore) is 45 years. However, Female employees can be posted to offshore after attaining 45 years of age subject to medical clearance.

(2) Post Name: General Duty Medical Officers (GDMO)
No. of Vacancy: 03 (01-UR, 02-OBC)
Salary: Rs 72000/- per month
Duty Type: Full time Onshore Duty Posting in Mumbai & Panvel.
Qualification & Experience: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.).

Notes

(1) Two posts of FMO (Offshore posting) at Sl No 1 in the table above are for Panna Mukta field, the period of contract of which shall be till 21/12/2021.
(2) Further 1 post of GDMO at Sl No 2 above is for Panvel, the offer of appointment for which shall be issued on or after 01.06.2021.
(3) None of the posts are reserved for PWD. However, the post of General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) is identified suitable for PWD (OA=One Arm or OL=One Leg only), so eligible PWD candidates may also apply.
(4) The Candidate must possess the essential prescribed qualifications as well as a valid registration with the concerned statutory authority (wherever applicable) on or before the last date of registration. Experience is desirable for all posts.
(5) Nomenclature of qualifications shall be as prescribed by UGC/ Medical Council of India.
(6) Qualifications equivalent to the one prescribed in this advertisement will not be accepted. This includes any equivalent qualification acquired from a foreign university.
(7) Where the posts specified in this advertisement are not reserved for any category(ies), a reserved category candidate can also apply provided he fulfills the criteria specified for the post. However he/she shall be treated at par with Unreserved category candidates.
(8) Candidate’s seeking reservation as SC/ST/OBC, shall have to produce a certificate in the prescribed proforma ONLY, meant for appointment to posts under the Government of India, from the designated authority indicating clearly the candidate’s caste, the Act/Order under which the caste is recognised as SC/ST/OBC and the Village/Town the candidate is ordinarily a resident of. They must also ensure that the name of their caste/community and its spelling in their caste/community certificate should be exactly as mentioned in the lists notified by the central government from time to time (for OBC category list of castes recognized by the Govt. of India as OBC castes in the central list is available on the site http://www.ncbc.nic.in and for SC/ST category the list of castes for each state is available on the site http://socialjustice.nic.in). A certificate containing any variation in the caste name will not be accepted. Further the OBC certificate should also clearly indicate that the candidate does not belong to creamy layer as defined by the Government of India for applying to posts and services under the Central Government.
(9) The OBC claim of a candidate will be determined in relation to the State (or part of the State) to which his/her father originally belongs. A candidate who has migrated from one State (or part of the State) to another should, therefore, produce an OBC certificate which should have been issued to him/her based on his/her father’s OBC certificate from the State to which he (father) originally belongs.
(10) Candidates seeking reservation under EWS will have to submit at the time of registration, an Income and Asset Certificate issued by a Competent Authority. The prescribed format and the Competent Authority for issuing the certificate have been given in Department of Personal & Training Office Memorandum No. 36039/1/2019 – Estt (Res) dated 31/01/2019. Selection Procedure ONGC Jobs 2021

(1) Selection Criteria: Following weightages shall be assigned to different parameters in the selection process:-
Qualification-70 marks (60 marks for essential qualification & upto 10 marks for any relevant higher qualification)
Interview-30 marks
Total-100 Marks
(2) The breakup of 10 marks for such higher qualification shall be considered as follows:
a. Where a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field (M.B.B.S.) is the minimum prescribed qualification, 5 marks shall be given to a Master’s degree in the relevant field (e.g. MD/MS).
b.  Further additional 5 marks shall be given to a Post Master’s qualification in the relevant field (e.g. M.Ch/ DM).
c. However, where a Master’s degree in the relevant field is the minimum essential qualification for example MD (Paediatrics) for the post of Paediatrics, minimum 60 marks may be given for the essential qualification. For any Post Master’s qualification, additional 10 marks shall be given to a Post Master’s qualification in the relevant field (e.g. M.Ch/ DM). 
(3) Qualifying marks in the interview shall be 18 marks for UR/OBC and 12 marks for SC/ST category.
(4) Candidates who qualify in the interview shall be empaneled in the Merit List.
(5) Offer of appointment shall be issued to the candidates based on their relative rank in the Merit List prepared on the sum total of marks scored by the candidate in qualification and interview.
(6) In case of a tie in the total marks scored between two candidates, then the candidate who scores more marks in interview shall be considered senior. In case there too the marks are equal then the candidate who is older in age shall be considered senior for issue of offer of appointment.
(7) Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their passing the company’s Medical Examination as per standards laid down under ONGC Medical Examination of Employees Rules, 1996. Details of the rules are available on ONGC’s Website at www.ongcindia.com.

How To Apply Online for ONGC Medical Officers Jobs

(1) Candidates need to visit www.ongcindia.com to register on our Registration weblink or you can used link given at the end of this notification. The registration site shall remain open from 12.04.2021 to 18.04.2021.
(2) Candidates need to attach the following documents in pdf format in their online form on the weblink and submit the same:
a. Scanned copy of any one Photo identity proof like PAN Card, Aadhar card, Passport, Driving License. Voter I Card.
b. Scanned copy of Passport size photograph in jpg/ jpeg format.
c. Class 10th Board Certificate containing Date of Birth (DOB). No other proof for determining Date of Birth shall be considered.
d. All semester MBBS marksheets.
e. Internship Completion Certificate.
f. M.B.B.S. / M.S. / M.D. Degree.
g. Valid Registration Certificate with the statutory registration Council like MCI etc.
h. SC/ST/OBC Caste Certificate (in case of OBC candidate caste certificate / NCL certificate should be in central government format).
i. PWD Certificate (if applicable) Certificate of disability should be issued by Civil Surgeon in case of PWD Certificate. The minimum degree of disability in order for a person to be eligible for any concessions/benefits would be 40%.
j. Proof of Higher Qualification (if any) - Mark sheet of all semesters and Degree/ Diploma Certificate.
k. Experience Certificate (if any).
l. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from existing employer, if any (in case the candidate is a regular employee in a Govt. organisation / PSU).
m. Valid proof of change of name (in case, applicable).

(4) In case of a face to face interview, candidates will be required to bring the above documents in original along with a set of Self-Attested Photocopies of documents and report to Chief Manager (HR)-I/C R&P as per date, time and venue intimated.
(5) Shortlisted candidates shall be called for either a face to face interview or through video conferencing (to be decided later by ONGC) based on a preliminary verification of the documents submitted by the candidate. The candidates are therefore advised to submit complete documents and true and correct data in the weblink. In case of failure to submit complete information or complete set of documents, their candidature is liable to be rejected.
(6) In case of the interview being conducted through video conferencing, candidate will be advised the date and time of the interview through e-mail and through SMS. ONGC however does not take any responsibility of the mail being sent to a spam folder or the message not being delivered due to network failure.
(7) In case of video conferencing the following software shall be used for video communication:- MS Teams or Webex or Google Meet. For better user experience, candidates are advised to keep these apps downloaded. ONGC may add more apps for communication depending upon feasibility. Candidates will be informed of the detailed modalities for video conferencing subsequently.
(8) All communications with the candidate shall be through SMS / e-mail.
(9) Candidates may please ensure that they are fulfilling all the requisite criteria prior to appearing for personal interview, failing which, their candidature is liable to be rejected/cancelled
