Job requirement:  The incumbent is expected to oversee experiments involving transgenic and knockout lines and also work along with the team of faculty in the various scientific research projects at the Institute. General Information / Details about the post

1. The appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation on termination of the project
2. The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment / absorption in Funding Agency or in IISER Pune.
3. The appointment of the applicant will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency particularly applicable to the said project.
4. The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institutions.
5. The prescribed educational qualification and experience/s are bare minimum and mere possession of same does not entitle candidates to be called for selection process. Selection Procedure ONGC Jobs 2021

(1) Selection Criteria: Following weightages shall be assigned to different parameters in the selection process:-
Qualification-70 marks (60 marks for essential qualification & upto 10 marks for any relevant higher qualification)
Interview-30 marks
Total-100 Marks
(2) The breakup of 10 marks for such higher qualification shall be considered as follows:
a. Where a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field (M.B.B.S.) is the minimum prescribed qualification, 5 marks shall be given to a Master’s degree in the relevant field (e.g. MD/MS).
b.  Further additional 5 marks shall be given to a Post Master’s qualification in the relevant field (e.g. M.Ch/ DM).
c. However, where a Master’s degree in the relevant field is the minimum essential qualification for example MD (Paediatrics) for the post of Paediatrics, minimum 60 marks may be given for the essential qualification. For any Post Master’s qualification, additional 10 marks shall be given to a Post Master’s qualification in the relevant field (e.g. M.Ch/ DM). 
(3) Qualifying marks in the interview shall be 18 marks for UR/OBC and 12 marks for SC/ST category.
(4) Candidates who qualify in the interview shall be empaneled in the Merit List.
(5) Offer of appointment shall be issued to the candidates based on their relative rank in the Merit List prepared on the sum total of marks scored by the candidate in qualification and interview.
(6) In case of a tie in the total marks scored between two candidates, then the candidate who scores more marks in interview shall be considered senior. In case there too the marks are equal then the candidate who is older in age shall be considered senior for issue of offer of appointment.
(7) Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their passing the company’s Medical Examination as per standards laid down under ONGC Medical Examination of Employees Rules, 1996. Details of the rules are available on ONGC’s Website at www.ongcindia.com.

POWERGRID Executive Trainee Salary

▸ The Corporation offers a very attractive pay package and is one of the best in the Industry. POWERGRID Recruitment - Selection Process

(1) The Selection Process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE 2021, Group Discussion & Personal Interview.
(2) Candidates qualified in corresponding paper of GATE 2021 shall only be eligible to be considered for the next stage of selection. Qualifying marks in GATE 2021 shall be as decided by GATE 2021 conducting authority.
(3) Qualified candidates shall be short-listed category-wise for Group Discussion & Personal Interview based on their normalized marks out of 100 in GATE 2021, in the corresponding paper.
(4) Candidates shall obtain information about their status through their login at the POWERGRID Online Application System. Shortlisted candidates shall be able to download their interview call letter and other relevant documents through the candidate login.
(5) Candidates shortlisted for the Group Discussion and Interview shall be required to bring the documents as mentioned in their interview call letter. 
(6) Candidates must qualify in the Personal Interview in order to be considered for empanelment. The qualifying % in interview for different categories are as mentioned below: 
> Unreserved / EWS: 40%

(1) From 25th March 2021 onwards, candidates have to register themselves online at POWERGRID website www.powergridindia.com with details of their GATE 2021 registration number and other required information.
(2) Online application shall close on 15th April 2021. 
(3) GATE Registration No. as appearing on the GATE 2021 Admit Card needs to be entered carefully in the online application form. No other number should be entered as GATE 2021 Registration number while applying to POWERGRID. Please note that once your application is submitted, no request regarding change in GATE Registration Number or Name shall be entertained. Enter your name and other details exactly as entered in your GATE admit card. 
(4) Fill up other details in the application very carefully. Please take care while filling out the email/ alternative email fields since all important communication shall be through emails only. 
(5) Upon completion, the candidate should submit the online application by clicking the Submit button at the bottom of the page. If the same is accepted, the system will generate a unique POWERGRID Registration Number which shall appear in the completed application form.

Nature of work: The responsibilities of the RA include participation in the development, installation and commissioning of upcoming beamlines at Indus-2 synchrotron source at RRCAT, Indore being developed by SDCPS, HP&SRPD, PG, BARC,
- Supporting user programs, 
- Developing and integrating novel high-pressure techniques 
- Conducting independent researches.
These beamlines will exploit high-energy x-ray diffraction, x-ray absorption spectroscopy and x-ray fluorescence techniques for material investigations under extreme conditions.

1. RA-1: Rs. 47,000 p.m. plus Contingency Grant of  Rs. 40,000/- per annum plus HRA as applicable [wherever hostel accommodation is not available].

General Notes

(A) The Research Associates will be fixed at one of the 3 fellowship as indicated above depending on qualifications and experience. The level at which a fellow will be placed will be decided by the interview committee based on the following;
i) Quality of Ph.D. thesis; 
ii) Post-Ph.D. research experience as evidenced from the quality of the publications and/or products/processes designed and developed and 
iii) Performance in the Selection interview. 
(B) The Department does not grant any such fellowship to the Scholars who have submitted Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting evaluation of thesis.
(C) A person with Provisional/Regular Ph.D. will be treated at par with Research Associates and will be eligible for fellowship as per extant rates.
(D) The Fellows recruited will have opportunity to carry out research under plan projects/other research projects of BARC under the guidance of senior scientists.
